Amazon Appstore, also called Amazon App Store, is an Android app from the website retailer that helps you find new free apps and apps for sale.

If you ever used Google Play before, you already know how this app works. Also called Amazon Underground, the app functions like a marketplace to show you every app currently available through Amazon. Not only can you view games for the whole family and games that are suitable for kids, but you can also check out useful apps that will come in handy at work or school.

As soon as you open the app and load the home page, you will need to enter your email address and the password that you used when setting up your Amazon account. Amazon also requires that you have a credit card or debit card linked to your account. You cannot download a single app, even a free app, without having a payment method linked to your account. The app will sometimes log you out when you close it and will require that you log back in later. If you have kids that use your Android device though, you'll find this helpful because it keeps kids from buying apps without your permission.

Do you sometimes come across apps that you think you might want to try later but forget about those apps before tomorrow comes? That won't be a problem with Amazon Underground because it comes with a save feature. You can use that feature to save some of the apps you find interesting and view or buy any of the titles later. This feature essentially works like the wish list you already have on Amazon but keeps the apps separate from those other items.

In addition to apps, you can also use this app to view movies and television shows that you might want to download and rent or buy. If you have an Amazon Prime account, you can even view titles currently available to you through the app and use the app to download copies to your phone. Amazon Underground will work on other devices that run Android too.

As an Amazon shopper and an Android user, this app can make your life a little easier. It records your viewing habits and searches to recommend games and apps for you. Use Amazon Underground to find the hottest games and videos for use on your Android device.
